how My Product Photography Works

Define the Brief

Understanding your requirements and the objective of the product photography is essential to ensuring the finished imagery is of high quality and fit for purpose. For example, is the objective to capture 2-4 image of products for product pages or catalogues or lifestyle product images to resonate with users, or finally product photography for marketing and PR?

Define Time Required

The brief is essential for developing an understanding of the time requirements, including whether the objective is to capture a high volume of quality images, or whether creativity is the overarching objective requiring time for Emma to have a little fun and express her artistic side.

Tailor Quotation

Depending on the volume and brief, Product Photography can range from 2-4 hrs to capture a number of quality images, to a full days creativity, to 2-3 days of constant product photography to provide a high volume of product images in a certain style and format for consistency. Then we must not forget the editing time considerations and any onsite visits or locations.

Conduct the Shoot

The vast majority of the products arrive by courier or are dropped off at my studio, from where I can conduct the shoot or shoots over an agreed timescale. Depending on the nature of the product photoshoot, my schedule will either be exclusive for the days required, or slots across the week be provided to capture the imagery.

Post Shoot Editing

Post shoot, the product photographs are edited and typically get turned around within 2-4 weeks, depending on your requirements this can be expedited. Editing typically consists of light touching, cropping and finishing edits. If you have specific editing requirement this is identified in the briefing stage and any adhoc requests can be accommodated on an hourly rate.

Sign off & Completion

On completion of the editing, the product photoshoot images are provided for review and sign off. Images are provided with full commercial license to use for marketing and commercial use, with copyright and ownership retained by ELP.

Emma take great pride in the number of repeat bookings or regular periodic bookings due to the quality of the product photography.
