Weddings at Bourton Hall
Bourton Hall held a special kind of summer magic for Olivia and Calvin’s beautiful wedding day. While the air was crisp, the atmosphere was radiant! Olivia’s morning began upstairs in the breathtaking Lady Bourton Room, where she was positively glowing with electric excitement to finally marry Calvin. We captured all the authentic, candid moments she envisioned with her bridal party. This day was a heartfelt celebration showing their true love, and it was an honour to photograph every precious memory they made, surrounded by all their loved ones.
The Ceremony in the Chapel
The chosen venue, Bourton Hall Chapel, immediately established a tone of timeless elegance. The ceremony setting characterised by classic wooden structure and an impactful wall of mirrors was carefully utilised to manage light and create visual depth. The deliberate staging, featuring a minimalist colour scheme of creams and greens, reinforced the couple’s sophisticated aesthetic throughout the day. While the formal proceedings, including a beautiful reading and the officiant’s contribution, provided structure, the core emotional climax occurred during the exchange of vows. The genuinely remarkable and unexpected alignment in their individual memories and shared narratives created a moment of raw, mirrored affection. Documenting this genuine symmetry of feeling was paramount, offering a powerful, heartwarming subject that transcended a standard wedding narrative.
Group & Couple Photos
Following the ceremony, the newlyweds proceeded to the main hall to greet their guests and begin the welcome drinks reception. Capitalising on the time of year and a beautifully sunny day, Olivia and Calvin prioritised stepping out into the grounds for their private couple’s portraits. The stunning, vibrant colours of Bourton Hall’s gardens provided the perfect, picturesque backdrop. We then moved quickly to the main back lawn to complete the formal group photographs before the light faded. With efficient assistance from the bridal party and groomsmen, each group was quickly organised, ensuring the group shots were completed smoothly and swiftly.
The Wedding Day
There’s nothing quite like a wedding day where the love is so wonderfully tangible, and this one was exactly that. It filled the air, it was in every glance, every shared laugh it truly showed all day long, and it was a privilege to witness and capture it. And can we talk about the incredible people at Bourton Hall? They’re always the epitome of calm professionalism, looking after everything beautifully, as if they were a perfectly synchronised family. I’m sending all my love and the very best wishes to this amazing couple for a long and happy future! Side note: The first dance confetti explosion at Bourton Hall? It’s my personal obsession always the shot that gets me!
