My passion is delivering wedding photography across Warwickshire and the Midlands that feels authentic and elegant, capturing images that genuinely mirror your real memories as if time truly stood still. I hope this page provides you a real insight into my wedding photography style.
My core style philosophy is that no single label (candid, documentary, traditional, reportage) can define me as a successful wedding photographer. Instead, I define myself as dynamic and adaptable, seamlessly blending the best of every wedding photography style to meet your unique needs and the flow of the day.
The only wedding photography style I do not offer is “contemporary / fine art,” as it is overly time-consuming for couples (often requiring full lighting rigs) and runs counter to my goal of a relaxed, non-disruptive celebration.
At the heart of my approach is storytelling. I discreetly work in stealth mode to capture candid, authentic imagery, the unexpected laughter, the quiet glance, the spontaneous hug, all with real emotion and zero disruption. This requires quietly blending in amongst your guests, family, and friends, often working closely with venue staff to remain unnoticed and stay ahead, ensuring the day unfolds naturally. Don’t be surprised, however, that I might suddenly burst out from the shadows mid-action (like on the dance floor) for a split-second shot, then vanish again!
Equally, I am a strong believer in the timeless necessity of traditional wedding photography. Those classic, posed couple and family/group photographs are moments that deserve to take pride of place in your album or be framed on the wall. I specialise in making these moments feel anything but rigid or awkward. Whether it’s just my couples, or a small group of 3–5, or a full 200-person shot, my approach is to take charge with a good sense of humour and clear direction, making the process really good fun and relaxing for everyone, even the most camera-shy or anxious guests.
My style utilises this hybrid approach, knowing exactly how long to spend orchestrating a scene to get that magical image without detracting from the day itself. When asked what style of photographer I am, the answer is: I am all of the above, and more.
My imagery is considered to be natural, elegant, and timeless. I achieve this by avoiding fad filters and over-editing entirely. You won’t find emulation or vintage effects, nor will I artificially over-intensify colours. Keeping images true-to-life and natural is the key to creating moments that look just as beautiful decades from now as they do today.

Consultation & Pre-Wedding Planning
The planning phase of your wedding should be full of excitement and romance, not stress. That’s why my approach as a Wedding Photographer starts with a friendly, relaxed consultation, available either before or after you decide to book me. About half of my couples book first, securing their date with defined budgets, while the other half prefer to meet, chat, and learn about me first, using my experience to help shape their wedding photography coverage, package, and timelines.
We can meet 1-on-1, or connect virtually over the phone or video link, whatever you prefer, and my goal is simple: to leave you feeling warm, confident, and relaxed about the entire wedding photography process. I pride myself on being approachable and flexible; there are no silly questions, only wonderful details to cover.
During this consultation, we delve into the details that truly make your wedding photography unique to you. We’ll discuss:
Your Must-Have Shots: Defining the exact formal groups and classic couple photographs you need.
Your Vibe: Clearly mapping how much you want me in “stealth mode” versus “take charge mode” as your Wedding Photographer.
The Schedule: Building a realistic timeline that accounts for travel, light conditions, and the smooth flow of your day to maximise your wedding photography coverage.
Logistics & Experience: Leveraging my years of wedding photography experience to discuss everything from light requirements and venue-specific photography opportunities to timings and, yes, even budgets.
This collaborative, enjoyable planning ensures that when your big day arrives, the wedding photography is seamlessly integrated into the beautiful story you’ve created, and you know you have an experienced Wedding Photographer by your side, ready to help.
On-the-Day Management: Unseen, Yet Always In-Control
My wedding photography style on your wedding day is built on ‘necessity presence’ with ‘minimum disruption’. It starts with arriving early to liaise with the venue staff, registrars, and other officials, ensuring everyone is on the same page and fully aware of the photography needs for the day. My aim is to become part of the efficient, calm background team.
For couples opting for full-day photography, the “getting ready” photographs are part of the fun and giggles! I am fully adept at jumping discreetly between separate rooms at the same venue, capturing the excitement of the happy couple, the wedding party, close family, and friends. My adaptability also means I’ve unexpectedly become highly skilled in wedding day mishap aversion, from emergency sewing to quick problem-solving, I’m prepared for anything the day throws at us.
When the time comes for the formal portraits, my unique ability to transition from being unseen to taking command comes into play. I guide and organise groups, moving excitable crowds to the perfect location quickly and efficiently. The process should feel like a fun, high-energy memory itself, full of romance, stories, and genuine laughter. My priority is ensuring everyone, from parents to children, and especially those who may be autistic or extremely nervous/anxious feels totally at ease, resulting in authentic, relaxed expressions rather than awkward facial smiles.
Also I’m not a clock-watcher. Weddings do not always follow the plan precisely, and that is completely fine. My extensive experience, combined with the professionalism of the venue team, allows us to adapt in a stress-free and relaxed manner, making photography a joyful part of your memories, not a source of worry.
Post-Wedding Day: Continuing the Excitement and Romance
The wedding day may be over, but the excitement certainly isn’t.
One of my favourite parts of being a Wedding Photographer is seeing couples experience their photographs for the very first time. As the confetti settles and the celebrations come to an end, your images become the lasting reminder of every smile, embrace, happy tear, and unforgettable moment.
My approach to editing is exactly the same as my approach to photographing your wedding day: natural, elegant, and timeless. Every image is carefully selected and individually edited by me to ensure your final collection reflects your day beautifully and authentically.
From the biggest moments to the quietest details, my aim is to create a collection of photographs that instantly transport you back to how your wedding felt, not just how it looked.
Years from now, I want you to be able to open your photographs and relive the emotion, laughter, and love of your wedding day all over again.
You may have come across lots of different photography styles while planning your wedding. It can be confusing. In reality, most couples want a natural mixture, not a rigid approach.
Book & Secure Your Date
I’m here to help make your planning process stress-free, but as a popular photographer, my calendar often fills up quickly, with bookings frequently occurring 3 to 18 months in advance (and sometimes even further out!). To avoid disappointment and ensure your date is exclusively reserved, securing your spot is quick and straightforward.
Once the 25% non-refundable deposit is paid, your date is locked into my calendar. This gives you complete peace of mind, allowing you to check the photographer off your list and focus on the fun of planning your amazing day!
