Weddings in Leicester
A beautiful wedding from start to finish with Kim and Mark at The City Rooms, it is a lovely grand venue with plenty of stunning areas to capture the days wedding. On the day we were lucky enough to have a dry December’s day even if a little cold!
Kim and Mark were really excited but nervous when I arrived, Totally normal! After chatting with Mark and talking about ceremony and the usual hello greetings I went to capture some photos of Kim getting ready in her room, with her Mum and Bridesmaid. Kim wanted minimal getting ready shots.
Kim had said to me in our pre wedding meetings “I just loved the Ballroom, I knew I wanted my photos in this room”. It was dressed simple but elegant I loved it with the cute winter decor that Kim had created.
Once the simple ceremony was over we headed out to the cold for the confetti shots then everyone dashing inside to get warm for the group shots on the stairs. After the main shots were done I took Kim & Mark off to capture their lovely photos around the venue and close by on the streets of Leicester, using a quirky ally way and when night time arrived making use of the cities Christmas lights!
The City Rooms is a Georgian, Grade 1 listed wedding venue and banqueting hall with boutique bedrooms in the heart of Leicester city centre.
They have taken out a careful two year restoration and refurbishment project of the The City Rooms building and has been brought back to life. It is now a very popular venue for weddings, parties, balls and conferences.
The Ballroom, with its magnificent huge windows and grand chandeliers, is a stunning setting for any wedding and is sure to take your breath away. It can seat up to 200 guests and is often used for the ceremony as well as the wedding breakfast and evening reception. As well as the ballroom we also have a beautifully decorated bar and two other suites, the dining room and the drawing room.
