Scott & Chloe’s Wedding Photography at Warwick House

Southam, Warwickshire | Emma Lowe Photography

Some wedding days have a way of surprising you, and Scott and Chloe’s wedding at Warwick House in Southam was certainly one of them!

Having photographed many weddings at Warwick House over the years, I know the venue incredibly well, but every couple brings something different to it. For Scott and Chloe, it was a lovely combination of classic wedding styling, a relaxed atmosphere and plenty of genuine moments that made their day such a pleasure to photograph.

The weather was also a bit of a surprise! With an overcast forecast, The clouds disappeared, the sunshine arrived and we ended up enjoying beautiful summer weather throughout the celebrations.

A Lovely Morning Getting Ready at Warwick House

I started the day with Chloe and her bridal party, photographing the final preparations before the ceremony.

I always enjoy this part of a wedding because there’s so much happening without anyone really noticing. Hair and makeup are being finished, everyone is getting excited, and those little moments between the bride and the people closest to her make such lovely photographs.

Chloe looked beautiful, and the natural light coming into the bridal suite was perfect for capturing some soft, elegant images as she got ready.

I also spent some time with Scott and his groomsmen in one of the lounge areas at Warwick House. It’s always nice to photograph both sides of the morning, and the contrast between the preparations gives the finished wedding gallery a much more complete story.

An Outdoor Wedding Ceremony in the Sunshine

With the weather firmly on our side, Scott and Chloe exchanged their vows in the outdoor gazebo at Warwick House.

One of the things I love about photographing outdoor wedding ceremonies is being able to capture everything in natural light. The gazebo provides a beautiful setting, with the surrounding gardens adding a lovely backdrop without taking attention away from the couple.

Of course, my favourite moments are always the ones that can’t be planned. Scott’s expression as Chloe arrived, the little smiles exchanged during the ceremony and the reactions from their family and friends were all wonderful to photograph.

I try to work as discreetly as possible during ceremonies, allowing couples to enjoy every moment while I capture the emotions and details as they happen.

And with the sunshine making an unexpected appearance, it really couldn’t have been a nicer setting for them to say their vows.

Making the Most of Warwick House for Wedding Photographs

After the ceremony, everyone had the opportunity to relax and enjoy the sunshine during the drinks reception.

This is one of my favourite times to photograph a wedding. Guests are chatting, laughing and catching up, and there’s always plenty happening that makes for lovely natural photographs.

We also made time for some family and group photographs in front of Warwick House. The building provides a beautiful backdrop for these, and I always aim to keep this part of the day organised and relaxed so everyone can get back to enjoying themselves.

For Scott and Chloe’s couple photographs, we explored a few different areas around the venue.

The grand staircase is a particularly lovely feature of Warwick House and works beautifully for more traditional, elegant portraits. Outside, the gardens, terrace and gazebo gave us a completely different feel, with plenty of natural light and space for more relaxed photographs.

I don’t believe couples should have to spend ages posing for their wedding photographs. A little gentle direction is usually all that’s needed, and I much prefer capturing the way two people naturally interact with each other.

Scott and Chloe were lovely together, and we were able to create a beautiful mixture of classic portraits and more informal moments without taking too much time away from their guests.

A Wedding Breakfast Full of Laughter

The celebrations continued inside Warwick House, where everyone gathered in the ballroom for the wedding breakfast and speeches.

I always enjoy photographing speeches because you never quite know what reactions you’re going to get! There are usually plenty of laughs, a few emotional moments and some wonderful expressions from the guests.

Rather than concentrating only on whoever is speaking, I like to look around the room and capture the reactions too. Often, these are the photographs that couples enjoy looking back on the most.

Scott and Chloe’s reception had a lovely atmosphere, and it was a pleasure to capture everyone enjoying the celebrations together.

The First Dance and Evening Celebrations

As the day moved into the evening, it was time for Scott and Chloe’s first dance.

The lighting and atmosphere in the ballroom gave the photographs a completely different feel from the bright, sunny images we’d captured earlier in the day.

I love this contrast in a wedding gallery. From the quiet preparations in the morning to the excitement of the ceremony, the relaxed afternoon and finally the evening celebrations, every part of the day has its own character.

The first dance was a lovely moment to photograph, with Scott and Chloe surrounded by their family and friends as they celebrated together.

My Favourite Memories from Scott & Chloe’s Warwick House Wedding

Looking back on Scott and Chloe’s wedding, I think what stands out most is how naturally the whole day came together.

We had beautiful sunshine when we’d expected clouds, a lovely outdoor ceremony, plenty of laughter and some wonderful opportunities for photographs around Warwick House.

As a wedding photographer, I always want couples to be able to look back at their photographs and remember how their day actually felt, not just how everything looked.

For Scott and Chloe, that meant capturing the excitement of getting ready, those special moments during their vows, the fun of being surrounded by their favourite people and some beautiful portraits of the two of them together.

It was a real pleasure to photograph their wedding, and I hope their images bring back all those lovely memories for many years to come.

Scott and Chloe, thank you for choosing me to photograph your wedding day. I wish you both every happiness for the future!
