Gamu and Andi’s Wedding Day Photography
With Covid changing their date so many times and altering how many guests could attend Gamu & Andi’s wedding day finally came, and it was a gorgeous day!
Winstanley House
Winstanley House is one of my personal favourite wedding venues to shoot at. It’s full of character and charm, with plenty of cosy corners and scenic backdrops that come alive beautifully with the huge windows letting all the light in. The venue looked especially lovely dressed for the season with twinkling fairy lights, gorgeous burgundy and golds around all of the tables and flowers.
Before the Ceremony
Arriving to photograph the bride and her bridal party getting ready is always slightly manic, with Gamu’s Mother 2 bridesmaids and flower girl this was no exception! But oh my goodness the atmosphere was amazing the group were just so excited. One of my favourite parts of a wedding day is the hair and makeup capturing unposed images of it being applied, just gorgeous close-ups without that awkward “omg she’s in my face feeling!” It’s the perfect time to take photos of the dress, shoes and accessories that the bride will be wearing adding touches. like nail polish colours in too, each small detail is that little reminder for years as you look back to your wedding day. BUT when Gamu put her dress on… I nearly cried she was a beautiful bride inside and out just perfec!
The Ceremony
St Mary’s Church, Barkby
An idyllic village for this beautiful church nestled in the Barkby surrounded by a quaint village and vast amounts of the countryside. Inside the church is just as spectacular. Gamu glided down the aisle on a dark red carpet surrounded by gold and red flowers on the pews.
My thoughts
A lovely dry afternoon around the picturesque grounds of Winstanley House, Leicestershire. So many lovely locations on the grounds to capture Gamu & Andi’s wedding photos. Upon arrival, I captured them with their chauffeur-driven car outside the house. Then we went out to the back of the house to capture some intimate photos of the new married couple as Man and Wife. I must say they had the cutest tree swing under a huge tree that made my absolute favourite image of the day. Inside the venue had decorated the room it looked amazing! Lots of fun and minimal dancing was allowed due to lockdown restrictions! I think the
the party went on into the night!
