Pre-Wedding Photography Shoot

When Aliya called to organise a surprise pre-wedding photo shoot for her and her partner Sam, I couldn’t wait! I was tasked with the challenge of finding a completely white horse that could be sat upon with Aliya’s stunning dress and finding a venue that would be available the moment we came out of the first Covid lockdown. Fingers crossed the weather would be kind to us in October!

Draycote Hotel Weddings

Draycote Hotel is situated in the heart of Warwickshire surrounded by beautiful countryside and the peaceful Draycote water offering a stunning backdrop to your wedding day photography. It really is the perfect location for your wedding or special event. I have photographed at Draycote Hotel a number of times and it really is a lovely venue to create your wedding day, or pre-wedding, memories.

The Day of the Wedding Shoot

We were blessed with a lovely autumn morning with the weather, JEM Carriages were on route with the most beautiful mare called Vesper for the photo shoot. Aliya had organised the wedding shoot but wanted to surprise Sam as they both love horses, he didn’t know the wedding photos would include Vesper!

Sam and Aliya arrived as myself and Joanne prepared for the shoot. Sam came around the horse box to ask if it would be ok to take a photo on his phone with the horse! Even once we’d told him the horse was here for him, he didn’t believe us, Sam was completely over the moon!

During the photo shoot, we moved to different locations around the grounds of Draycote Water including the lake and gazebo that is very iconic for Draycote Wedding photographers.

A big thank you to Draycote Hotel for letting us use Vesper on their grounds for these stunning wedding photos. Aliyah, Sam, Joanne and myself had a fantastic day of capturing their wonderful love and photographed portraits that encapsulated them as a couple. True smiles make for the best photos and neither Aliyah nor Sam could stop themselves beaming the whole time!
