Congratulations on becoming a parent! Baby’s first few weeks will be filled with excitement, newness and joy but it doesn’t last long! Newborn photography allows you to always remember those very first few weeks in a beautiful way.
Based in my relaxed home-studio in Rugby, I welcome families and new parents to curate a gallery of the highest quality photographs of their new babies. I regularly cater to families who are nearby and also further afield as they are willing to travel to get the best quality photos from me.
My studio offers off street parking which makes for a stressless experience right from the off, and my studio has been purpose built to ensure it’s a welcoming, safe and relaxing environment for you and your baby to be in.

ABOUT YOUR NEWBORN PhotoShoot
RElax WITH THE PROFESSIONAL ....
As a specialist newborn photographer, as well as an ex-nursery nurse, ex dental nurse and also a mother of three – I have copious amounts of experience with children, families and photographing them. I am also fully DBS certified so you can be rest assured that you and your babies are safe with me.
My sessions are held in my cosy home studio in Rugby that has been purpose built for my newborn photography shoots. It is furnished with a soft sofa for mum and dad, along with plenty of space for the photographs to be taken and extra heating to keep baby nice and snug! My studio also houses all of my professional photography equipment and lighting to get the perfect shots without depending on the weather.
I draw on my experience of dressing, posing and wrapping babies to get the special shots you’re after and always put your baby’s comfort and safety first. I will do everything I can to ensure your baby is as comfortable as possible throughout the shoot, especially if they choose to sleep through the whole experience, which many do!
To achieve photographs of your newborn curled up on furs, on a pillow, or with their favourite blanket – these shots are best taken during baby’s first 2 weeks. During our photoshoot, I would aim to take 4-5 different variations of this pose using different backgrounds or props.
What to Bring To the Shoot?
ESSENTIALS & FAVOURITE PROPS
For an added personal touch to your photoshoot, bring with you a special toy, blanket or item from home that we can incorporate into your photos. Along with this, you may wish to bring specific outfits, throws or props to use in some pictures if there are specific themes or images you’re looking for.
Included in the price of your photoshoot is also the use of all of my own blankets, throws, headbands and props that I keep in the studio. All of these items are cleaned thoroughly between shoots and could provide extra ideas or alternative versions of images we’ve already taken.
Lastly, I always recommend bringing plenty of nappies and milk with you so that baby has everything they need throughout our photoshoot.
HOW LONG DO THE Newborn PHOTOSHOOTS LAST?
2-4 HOurs - (AverAGE 3HRS)
You and your baby’s comfort and safety are my top priorities during our photoshoot. Usually, a newborn photoshoot lasts between 3 and 4 hours but sometimes it can take longer.
My Newborn Photoshoots are relaxed, fun and patient!
I like to ensure we have plenty of time to allow for nappy changes, feeds or cuddle breaks throughout the day as well as all of the time we’ll need for outfit changes, setting up props and changing the lighting etc.
I am very relaxed whilst working and will be happy to chat with you throughout, or you can sit and relax whilst I’m taking the photos.
Colours & Props
BRING THE RAINBOW .....
I always encourage my clients to bring with them a choice of outfits, toys or other props to incorporate into their photoshoot. Items with special meanings or memories are often used in your photos to add that extra personal touch and can lead the theme or colour palette for those images too.
The cost of your photoshoot with me includes use of my range of throws, blankets, headbands and props too! Available to you in a variety of colours, there is usually something to everyone’s taste. All of my items and props are cleaned between photoshoots thoroughly to keep you and your baby safe.
If you plan to hang or display your photographs in your home, it’s also worth thinking about which colours/props would suit your home decor too.
COSTS & IMAGE PACKAGES
AFFORDABLE & FLEXIBLE .....
I offer a range of packages to suit your budget. All of my packages (Over £100) are available to pay monthly if that suits you better than a one-off payment.
All of my Newborn Photography prices are segregated into two, separate payments.
Step 1: Book and pay for your photoshoot! This instalment will be due before the day of the shoot.
Step 2: Your Photography Package will include the editing and finalising of your chosen images. Prices for my packages start at £100.
I have chosen to split these two payments up for a few reasons. Upon arrival at my studio, you will be provided with printed examples of my recent work both to encourage new ideas for your own shoot but also to prove the quality of my photography. Once you are absolutely confident that what you will receive will be of the best quality, you are able to choose the images that you’d like to get finalised. You will never pay for anything that you don’t want. I stand by being very upfront about all of my costs and will always endeavour to get you exactly what you want from your photoshoot.
EDITING TIME & EDITING INCLUDED
ThE MAgic Software ....
Once we have finished our photoshoot together, I will go through all of the raw images and send you a secure image gallery full of them for you to look through. These watermarked images will be the unedited pictures taken on the day. This is your opportunity to choose which of your pictures are your favourites and which you’d like me to edit and finalise.
It can take between 4 and 8 weeks for me to edit and finalise your images. Sometimes, I am able to complete your photos quicker on request, but this would involve you needing to speedily choose your images for finalising too!
Included in your photography package price is basic editing. This includes light adjustments, small removals, skin and hair modifications and cropping. Most families only ever require this service to their images however I do also offer a more complex editing service for an additional fee which can include splicing two or more images together or significant changes to the image.
You may wish to purchase physical prints or albums of your photographs through me too! Just ask about what you would like and I can provide a quote for this.

Personalised & Relaxed
My purpose-built home studio is the ideal environment for my newborn photoshoots. With additional heating in the room to keep your baby cosy, a soft sofa for you to relax on and gentle, instrumental music in the background – you can fully enjoy your photoshoot experience with me. My photography sessions are always fun and relaxed and we can take time together to talk about ideas you have for images and also to look at the raw photos as they’re being taken.
There are plenty of refreshments available in my studio too, and I do ask that you don’t take photos or videos of your own during the session.

Enjoy My Gallery
The best place to start is simply to flick through some of my images on the website. The images you can expect from your shoot will be even sharper and cleaner than those on my website (due to resolution restrictions on the site). This will give you some ideas and shows the calibre of my Newborn Photography.

Let’s Chat
I begin every new photoshoot with a chat to learn exactly what my clients really want, and also offer some ideas that they may never of considered. We can have a relaxed chat about everything from your due dates, to sessions dates, to costs, to payment plans, to styles, or just about anything else.

Book In Your Session
My photography slots do get booked up quickly but the quicker you can book in, the better your chances of getting the slot you want. Normally we’ll chat about your due date and pick a date after that suits you. This tends to works out just fine, but sometimes if births are early or late, we’ll adapt!

Enjoy The Shoot
All my past clients have said the same thing, my home studio is so relaxed and warm, my parents are all quickly enjoying the shoot. And that’s the key, we have some fun, try different ideas and if you need to stop for feeding etc, we can stop and chat, until baby is ready to try again.

Preview Your Images
After the Newborn Photoshoot, I’ll typically aim to get the watermarked images into a preview state for you to review on a shared digital portal. You then have the opportunity to get the first look at the photos, unedited, and choose your favourites. You will also be able to choose which Image Bundle you wish to purchase.

Select Image Package
Selecting your favourite photos for editing couldn’t be easier. All the preview images have unique numbers for you to quote as your chosen images, along with your chosen Bundle (Image Bundles are sets of images for a fixed price). Then I can start the Finalisation and Touching process.

Finalisation & Touching
Due to my photography style, experience & set-up, post image editing is often relatively minimal. Some edits are to be expected including light finalisation and sometimes touching such as blemish, skin and hair adjustments. Complex editing is not included such as splicing (swapping parts of images), however if you have a specific idea in mind and this is required, this service is available and chargeable at a separate rate. It will take anywhere between 2-8 weeks depending on workload and holidays for this editing process to be completed.

Review & Sign Off
Following the editing process, your images will be available to you via the digital preview portal. This is your chance to review your photos and sign off the work. Any minor edits can be completed swiftly. Once you are happy and have signed off, we can prepare for release of your images. Full payment will be required before the watermark can be removed which is an industry standard. All the images are fully licensed for your personal use.
