how My COMMERCIAL PHOTOGRAPHY Works

Define the Brief

The process always begins with working together to understand and develop a concise brief for the photoshoot you are looking for. Clients are always encouraged to give a degree of steering and advice to ensure photographs requested are perfect. We will also discuss the logistical aspects, such as time estimates, managing the shoot on the day, facilities, managing multiple visits, urgency and the styling aspects. Once the brief has been define, clients can be confident that the scope of work and photography will be professionally delivered with a personable touch.

Define Time Required

Some clients prefer to have a very structured and defined brief, with every detail planned meticulously. Others prefer a more dynamic or creative approach to their shoots. Emma will happily take the time to discuss your requirements with you to ensure the appropriate approach is used and your time requirements are confirmed in advance of the shoot. Tariffs are generally tailored around Emma’s standard time bands, for example 2-4hrs, half or full days.

Tailor Quotation

Once a clearly-defined brief and scope of work have been identified and agreed, Emma will be able to generate a quotation (or estimate for those choosing dynamic shoots). Invoices are raised on booking your shoot, with payment required within 30days past your shoot date.

Conduct the Shoot

The enormous range of commercial photography shoots available from Emma Lowe Photography will astound you. Emma has proven, professional experience working with owners, marketing directors and many creative agencies to create the stunning photography you can see across this site. All setup requirements will always be communicated clearly to the client prior to the shoot along with logistics of the day. Emma will take a lead-role in managing and directing the shoot itself, along with those involved to ensure shoots are conducted effectively, efficiently and to the highest professional standards.

Post Shoot Editing

Once the photoshoot is completed, Emma will then meticulously review the imagery captured throughout and will work with clients closely to identify desired images for post-shoot editing. Emma provides all editing services from light editing (cropping, resizing and file formatting) all the way up to heavy editing which may include corrections or manipulations to the image itself including skin, teeth and eye complexions or removing unwanted objects from shots.

Sign off & Completion

Once the client is completely satisfied with their images, the commercial photography shoot can be signed off. Only once payment is received, the images can then be released under commercial license for use. Depending on the brief, some images may then be integrated into graphic design pieces – but otherwise, edited images are provided for sign off without any further editing or amendments. Emma is regularly re-booked by clients she has previously worked with as they are so impressed with her work.
