Full-time professional commercial photographer Emma Lowe is based in the Midlands, albeit she is often working up and down the country, zipping in and out of the commercial city hubs like London, Birmingham, Nottingham, Manchester and many more cities.

Emma specialises in a broad range of Commercial Photography, from general branding imagery, to marketing media, team and personnel business headshots, and events. Emma also specialises in product photography , Editorials, Engineering, Tech, Healthcare and Industrial Photography.

Typically Emma is either commissioned directly by clients or engaged by various leading Digital and Creative Agencies that operate on behalf of their clients.

Emma has extensive experience working with Universities & Institutions, through to Large Multi-National Organisations or SMEBs / SMEs across the Midlands and UK.

how My COMMERCIAL PHOTOGRAPHY Works

Define the Brief

Working together to understand the brief and scope of the work is required first for the task in hand. Clients always have an idea in mind of what they want, this can be expanded on with a degree of advice. The next step is the logistical aspect which needs to be discussed, items such as time estimates, shoot management, facilities, managing multiple visits and styling aspects. With the brief now defined, the photography can now be professionally delivered and provide confidence to the client.

Define Time Required

Required time varies from client to client, some will have a structured brief while others will have a more dynamic approach to their job. Some clients will even set out a specific time period to capture a variety of images. Emma will be happy to discuss your specific requirements in more detail and help you to understand your time requirements. As far as costs go, tariffs are tailored around the standard time bands offered by Emma, this includes for example 2-4hrs, half or full days.

Tailor Quotation

Emma works closely with clients to have a clearly defined brief and clear objectives of the commercial photography going forward, this includes any creative and styling aspects. Emma will discuss the time requirements, this includes if multiple visits are required to the location. Emma will then generate a quote or estimation based on these options. The invoice is then raised on booking your photography shoot, with payment to be made 30 days post shoot.

Conduct the Shoot

Emma conducts a huge variety of commercial photography shoots, working with owners, marketing directors and creative agencies as part of a multi-disciplinary team or working on a 1 to 1 basis with the clients themselves. All with the aim of capturing the commercial photography needed. Setup and logistics needed prior to the shoot will be clearly communicated by Emma, this will keep the shoot discreet all while minimising disruption. Emma will be in charge on the day of the shoot to ensure everything is conducted effectively to the highest standards possible.

Post Shoot Editing

All images are reviewed post shoot, Emma will review the imagery taken on the shoot and working with the client will identify the commercial photographs required for editing. There are various ways the images can be edited, light editing such as cropping and resizing through to moderate editing such as image manipulation. Altering skin, teeth and eye complexions or removing distracting objects such as overhead electrical wiring and lamp posts are all examples of this type of image editing. Even more advanced types of image editing are available upon request of the client.

Sign off & Completion

Every brief is different, as such some images might be incorporated into graphic design pieces, however, the majority of images are provided post shoot for the client to sign off. Once everyone involved is completely happy, the commercial photography photoshoot can be signed off and the invoice raised. The images are licensed for commercial use, once the payment has been received. Emma has many commercial photography clients who are very happy with her work and it’s no surprise that many rebook when needed.
