Weddings at Bourton Hall Warwickshire

Capturing the Joy of Charlotte & Henry’s Vibrant Spring Wedding at Bourton Hall.

What a day! I had the absolute absolute pleasure of photographing Charlotte and Henry’s gorgeous wedding at Bourton Hall on a crisp, beautiful March Sunday. If you’ve never been to this stunning Warwickshire venue in early spring, let me tell you the light is pure magic, and the energy? Unbeatable.

My mission for Charlotte and Henry’s big day was simple, capture all the historic grandeur of Bourton Hall, but pack it with fun, laughter, and authentic, happy vibes.

My Photography Style: Bright, Airy, and Full of Life!

I love weddings that feel like a party, and my shooting style reflects exactly that. For Charlotte and Henry, it was all about blending beautiful, light-filled imagery with real, belly-laugh moments.

  • Chasing the Sunshine: Bourton Hall has some seriously jaw-dropping Italianate architecture, and I used that soft March sun to create bright, airy, and romantic photos. From the dramatic Grand Salon to the rolling countryside views, we kept the visuals fresh, glowing, and full of life.
  • The “Real Stuff” (Candid Joy): While we definitely got those gorgeous, mantlepiece-worthy portraits, my camera was constantly hunting for the unscripted magic. I’m talking about Henry’s massive grin as Charlotte walked down the aisle, the roaring laughter during the champagne reception, and those sweet, goofy, stolen glances between the newlyweds.

How We Kept the Vibes High and the Stress Low

A great wedding gallery happens when everyone is having a blast not when they feel like they’re on a timed photoshoot! Here is how I managed the day to keep it flowing, fun, and completely relaxed

1. Morning Prep: Bubbly & Good Energy

The fun started early during bridal prep in Bourton Hall’s stunning bridal suite. My approach here is part hype-man, part fly-on-the-wall. By blending into the background, I caught all the nervous excitement, the popping corks, and the happy tears. Getting to know everyone early on meant that by the time Charlotte stepped into her dress, she was totally comfortable with me and my camera.

2. Group Shots that Don’t Bore You to Tears

Nobody wants to stand in a line for two hours missing out on the canapés! To make sure Charlotte and Henry could actually party with their guests, I zipped through the formal group photos with high energy and a big smile. Using our pre-agreed shortlist, I kept things moving quickly, warmly, and efficiently, so everyone could get back to the champagne.

3. Couple’s Portraits: No Stiff Posing Allowed

Instead of dragging the newlyweds away for one long, exhausting photo session, we split their portraits into two quick, fun mini-shoots.

  • The Afternoon Hangout: We explored the formal gardens and striking interiors, using playful prompts rather than stiff, awkward posing. I wanted to capture their actual chemistry—the giggles, the twirls, and the genuine connection.
  • The Golden Hour Escape: Later on, we slipped away for just ten minutes to catch the fading March sun. It gave Charlotte and Henry a chance to catch their breath, soak in the fact that they just got married, and let me snap some stunning, sun-drenched moments of pure happiness.
